Ingredients For Cream of Wheat

  • 2/3 cup Wheat Berries (Einkorn Wheat is one of the oldest varieties of wheat and my favorite for cream of wheat – Get the berries HERE.)
  • 3 cups water

Toppings

  • diced apple
  • raw honey
  • butter
  • 1 TBS Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Blueberries
  • 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts
  • anything else that strikes your fancy (as long as it is a one ingredient thing – why go to the trouble of making a whole food wonder and then gunk it up with something synthetic or over processed?!)

Instructions

  • Grind the wheat Berries until the consistency of corn meal
  • Bring water to rolling boil in a saucepan
  • Sprinkle ground wheat into boiling water a little at a time while whisking vigorously. If too much flour is added at once, it will clump.
  • Continue whisking for one minute after all flour has been added to the water and wheat is the consistency you like.
  • Pour into bowls and add toppings of choice

How Do I Grind Wheat Berries?
